If you're a cheapskate frugal, then you might want to look at living in Kansas City, which has placed fourth in the nation among Best Cities for Saving Money.

GOBankingRates.com put together this new list, which looked at "the 100 largest U.S. cities by population from best to worst on seven essential factors affecting people's ability to save." Factors taken into consideration included: sales tax, median home list price, median rent price, median household income, the unemployment rate, average reported gas prices and grocery costs.

Kansas City's fourth-place finish made it the highest ranking city in the Midwest. Fort Wayne, Indiana; Omaha and Tulsa were also among the Top 10.

What are a few of the worst places to live when you're trying to save money? Just about anywhere in California. Of the 15 cities at the bottom of GOBankingRates.com's list, only two - New York and Miami - were not in California. Oakland, Los Angeles and San Francisco were the bottom three.
