Kansas City Police Shoot Man in Self-Defense

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City police say a man who was killed by officers had pointed a gun. The Star reports officers responded Saturday night from a part of the city north of the Missouri River before the altercation with the suspect. Police Chief Darryl Forté said Saturday that no officer was injured. The dead man has not been identified.
