Karen Suzanne “Cookie” Green, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born May 18, 1942, in Sedalia, daughter of Garnett Lee and Patricia Kellner Starkey.

On May 16, 1958, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Earl Wayne Green, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 5, 2015.

Karen was a member of Highway M Chapel and worked at Inter-State Studios. She enjoyed reading, watching the Hallmark channel, and she loved the Lord.

She is survived by three children, Donna S. McCutchen (John), of Cookeville, TN, Jeffrey W. Green (Amy), of Aurora, IL, and Patrick W. Green (Marsha), of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Nathan W. Green, Jill Wade, John Matthew McCutchen and Natalie N. Green; four great-grandchildren, Hannah McCutchen, Jacob McCutchen, Clara McCutchen and Maddox McCutchen, one sister, Janet Anderson, of Calhoun; four sisters-in-law, Betty Green, Vicki Poort, Kathy Smith and Genie Humphries; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Earl Wayne Green, Jr.; and one brother, Garnett Lee Starkey, II.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Crown Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Clint Leiter officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
