Kathleen Margaret Bockelman, 71, of Cole Camp, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.  She was born on July 8, 1944, at Grandview, Missouri, a daughter of Carnie George and Hattie Mae (Jones) Swartz.

The family later moved to Stover in 1954.  On December 10, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Luetjen and this union was blessed with three children, Vicki, Ernie, and Danny Luetjen.  Then on July 14, 1971, in Miami, Oklahoma, she married Marvin Bockelman and this union was blessed with a son, Travis Bockelman.

She had worked as a med tech at the nursing home, was a homemaker, and owned Kate's Diner in Versailles.

Kathy was a member of Brauersville Lutheran Church near Cole Camp, where she taught Sunday School.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, canning, making ceramics, and being with family and friends.

She is survived by:
her husband Marvin Bockelman of the home;
her daughter, Vicki Trent and her husband Mike of Hallsville;
her sons, Ernie Luetjen and his wife Clara of Versailles and Travis Bockelman and his wife Sonya of Cole Camp;
her two sisters, Wanda Reed of Oak Grove and Connie Viebrock of Stover;
her brother, Jim Swartz of Moberly;
ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carnie and Hattie Mae Swartz, a son, Danny Luetjen, four sisters, one brother, and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Brauersville Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the family in care of the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Luetjen, Ethan Luetjen, Eric Luetjen, J. W. Bockelman, Elden Towles, Bryan Mosser and Justin Wyatt.
