KC Man Charged in Death of Transgender Woman

A 29-year-old Kansas City man has been charged in the death of transgender woman who a witness said was intentionally run over several times and left to die.

Jackson County prosecutors say Luis M. Sanchez was charged Monday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Sanchez is accused in the Aug. 15 death of 36-year-old Tamara Dominguez.

Authorities say a witness told police the vehicle hit Dominguez and ran over her several times.
