Kansas City Man Sentenced to 7 years in Firey Death of His Daughter

A suburban Kansas City man has been sentenced to seven years in prison after a house fire killed his 14-month-old daughter and an adult.

Thirty-five-year-old Stephen Elijah of Grandview was sentenced Wednesday in Jackson County for two counts of involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.

Elijah was acquitted in May of an arson charge.
