Kenneth A. Vansell age 85 of Sedalia passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.

He was born on July 14, 1928 in Crest, Missouri son of Charles Edward and Georgia Helen Miller Vansell.

He was married on June 19, 1954 in Versailles, Missouri to Marcella Pauline Young and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2014.

Kenneth graduated from Crest High School. He then served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sedalia. He enjoyed fishing, watching TV and taking his grandkids wherever he went. He loved spending time with all of his family.

He is survived by four daughters; Debbie Klein, Cindy Boatman (Brett), Karen Beach (Mike), Amy Knapp (James) all of Sedalia, three sisters; Frances Wilcox of Sedalia, Ruth Williams of Stover, Patty Smith of Oak Grove, five brothers; Bill Vansell of Lee's Summit, Frank Vansell, Raymond Vansell and Darrell Vansell all of Versailles, Leonard Vansell of Blue Springs, seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, infant sister, two brothers; Clayton Vansell and Larry Wayne Vansell, a great granddaughter; Madison Lee Wright.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A. M. until service time. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Knapp, Michael Beach, Nicholeus Knapp, Mason Wright, Justin Klein and Tyler Boatman. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Wright, Easton Knapp, Andrew Lange and Scottie Lange.
