Kenneth Jesse Kretzer, 89, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born July 30, 1925, in Rosendale, MO, son of Preston Albert and Myrtle May Perkins Kretzer. On March 24, 1945, in Lone Jack, he married Lillie E. Neitzert, who survives of the home.

Mr. Kretzer retired from Pittsburg Corning after 34 years, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church of La Monte and Central MO Council of the Blind. He enjoyed antique cars, fishing and listening to country music. In the 1950s he drove modified race cars.

In addition to his wife of 70 years, survivors include a son, Jim Kretzer (Cindy), of Sedalia; a grandson, Ken Kretzer; a great-grandson, Kris; and two great-great-grandchildren, Peyton and Grayson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Kretzer; a sister, Mary Elwell; and a brother, Albert Kretzer.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Chappell officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Heckart Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Benton County Hospice or Central MO Council of the Blind.
