Kenneth (Kenny) Bethke, 78

Kenneth “Kenny” Bethke was born on December 27, 1933. He is the son of the late Emil J. and Amanda Bethke. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dorothy Smith. He is survived by his wife Mary K. of O’Fallon, MO, his daughter Renee (Timothy) Dyer, 2 grandsons Timothy “T.J.” Meder, and Nolan Dyer of St. Paul, MO.

Kenny was born in Sedalia and married Mary Harris Bethke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on May 30, 1954. He then served in the armed forces for 2 years, after which he worked as a Meat Market Manager for various grocery stores around the Sedalia and Kansas City areas. Kenny enjoyed bowling and golf, and more recently spending time with his friends at the “Joy Group” of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, and vacationing with his friends from Sedalia.

Kenny was granted an earthly life of 78 years when the Lord in His goodness, mercy and love took his soul on August 19, 2012.

Visitation will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8945 Veterans Memorial Parkway, O’Fallon, MO 63366, Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM with funeral services to follow. Visitation will also be held at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, 519 S. Ohio, Sedalia, MO 65301, Friday, August 24, 2012 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM with a graveside service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO. Local arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be offered online at mclaughlinfuneralchapel.com.
