Kidabaloo Huge Success

The second annual Kidabaloo, presented by KIX-105.7, 92.3Bob-FM, KSIS Radio and State Farm Agent Bryan Jenkins, was a huge success, judging by the hundreds of kids and their parents who showed up at the Ag Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon.

According to event organizer Derrick Gill, "Kidabaloo is a giant kids festival that we do here at the radio station. Today we've got everything from ponies and horses outside, several different inflatable activities, candy, tickets to kids events out here, we've got great vendors for the parents to shop at, give the parents something to do while the kids are having fun, We've got face painting, photo booths, pretty much everything you would find at the best birthday party ever, We've also got superheroes -- Spiderman, The Flash, Batman, Iron Man -- so just a really good time for everyone."

Gill estimated he would see around 500 or 600 people over the course of the four-hour event. He noted that part of the proceeds from the Kidabaloo would go to Relay For Life. He also thanked Bryan Jenkins for his ample help. "Without his sponsorship, we wouldn't be able to get the inflatables, the building and everything like that which makes it possible. Big thanks also to Central Missouri Community Credit Union. They are our superhero sponsors. Last year we had Elsa for the girls, so this year we had superheroes for the boys," Gill said, who promised there would definitely be a third annual Kidabaloo.
