Stan Kroenke didn't find St. Louis to his liking for an NFL team, but he still sees business opportunity in the region.

Kroenke and attorney Alan Bornstein, his investment partner, head a corporation that is among six entities that submitted proposals to develop a portion of hundreds of acres along the Missouri River in Maryland Heights, Missouri, a St. Louis suburb. The deadline for proposals was Thursday.

Details of the plans have not been released. City spokesman Craig Workman says a summary of the proposals will be disclosed July 11. That will be followed by review sessions, workshops and public hearings.

Workman says the city council is expected to reach agreement with one of the developers by early next year.
