The Sacred Heart Volleyball Gremlins faced the Cole Camp Bluebirds, who were undefeated in conference play, Tuesday night at home.

Cole Camp came out strong, getting an early 3-0 lead. The Gremlins were able to rally back and go point for point with the Bluebirds for a majority of the first match. In the end, it came down to wire with each team having 4 opportunities to take the game.

Both teams fought hard to take the win, but in the end, it was the Gremlins who won the set at 31-29. In the second set, Cole Camp got an early lead with the Gremlins struggling to receive serve taking the set to 6-0. The Gremlins had to fight hard to get back in the game, but were able to tie the set at 7-7.

By limiting Cole Camp to 1- or 2-point runs, the Gremlins were able to gain a 23-15 advantage over the Bluebirds. After a timeout from Cole Camp, the Bluebirds came out fighting and went on a 4-point run.

When the Gremlins stopped the run, they were able to take the game in two sets, winning the second, 25-19.

For the Lady Gremlins, Madison McClain had 17 kills and 10 digs and 2 blocks.

Zoe Volcko had 12 kills and 8 digs and 2 blocks.

Grace Goodwin had 12 digs.

Sacred Heart (9-10-1) takes on Smithton (10-8) and Otterville (5-6) Thursday in the Kaysinger Conference Tournament. The championship match takes place Saturday.
