State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners Basketball Head Coach Kevin Bucher has announced Nokoia White, a 5’9’’ guard from Ennis, Texas, as the first member of the 2018-2019 recruiting class.

She played at Ennis High School for Head Coach David Kilpatrick and was an honor roll student. White has signed a National Letter of Intent and will begin her academic and athletic career at SFCC in the fall.

“Nokoia is a left-handed player who plays extremely hard,” said Bucher. “She can take the ball to the basket or pull up and hit a jump shot. I can see why she scored quite a few points for her high school team. She does everything. She rebounds the ball well, has great speed and great length. We are fortunate to have her at SFCC.”

White averaged 15 points per game, dished out seven assists, pulled down six rebounds, and recorded eight steals per game. She was named to the 17-5A first team all-district, the 17-5A District MVP and the17-5A Defensive Player of the Year.
