Both teams played well defensively. The match ended 0-0 after two overtime periods.

SFCC recorded five shots and three shots on goal in the match. Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Coble made one save in the game.

"We definitely had opportunities to win the match," said head coach Jaime Beltran. "The girls played well, and Barton is the best team that we have played against so far. It was a great team effort. Jessica Coble did a great job in goal. We played well in possession and in the middle. We just have to find someone to put the ball away in the offensive third of the field."
