39-year-old Gary Barnett of Sedalia, pleaded guilty to driving while revoked.  Sedalia Police Officers saw the defendant driving a vehicle at Fifth and Kentucky on July 11 and stopped him because the officer knew the defendant’s driving privileges were revoked.  The offense was a felony because the defendant has four prior convictions for similar offenses.  He was sentenced to serve 120 days in jail.

David Boggs, Jr. 30 of Sedalia, pleaded guilty to domestic assault in the second degree, admitting he struck a former girlfriend while at a Sedalia bar April 12.  He was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail.

Brandon Carlock 30-years-old of Sedalia, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in a county jail.  After an arrest April 12, Sedalia Police Officers found marijuana concealed in the defendant’s shoe while in the Pettis County Jail.  The defendant was sentenced to serve 10 months in jail.

Alex Gilbert 28 of California, Missouri, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to serve 3 years in prison.  Sedalia Police Detectives found hydrocodone in the defendant’s possession during a June 12 investigation at a home on South Grand.

35-year-old Erin, Graves of Chula, Missouri, pleaded guilty to driving while revoked.  While investigating a July 21 accident at North 65 Highway and Grand Avenue, Sedalia Police Officers learned that the defendant’s driver’s license was revoked.  The offense was a felony because the defendant has five prior convictions for driving while revoked.  He was sentenced to serve two years in prison.

20 year-old Jackson Hill of Holden, pleaded guilty to DWI, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.  While investigating a stolen vehicle report on February 14, 2013, a Missouri State Highway PatrolTrooper saw the defendant operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs.  She later found marijuana and a pipe in the defendant’s pocket.  He was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail on the DWI charge, and placed on probation for two years on the drug-related offenses.

Ashley Moore 26 of Sedalia, was sentenced to serve 5 years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary, stealing, receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit device and possession of a controlled substance, offenses which were committed on several different dates in late 2013 and early 2014.

37-year-old Vladimir Ostapenko of Sedalia, was placed on probation for 5 years for possession of a controlled substance.  Sedalia Police Officers found oxycodone in the defendant’s possession during a September 4 traffic stop.  The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge in May.  He will serve 20 days of shock detention as a condition of probation.

Douglas Burlingame 47 of Sedalia, entered guilty pleas to possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.  Sedalia Police Detectives found a spoon with methamphetamine residue in the defendant’s possession during a traffic stop January 19.  Then, the Sedalia Police Department’s STING Unit found about three grams of meth in the defendant’s pocket when serving a search warrant February 21 in a home where a minor resided.  The defendant was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison as a persistent drug offender.

Ian Carroll 26 of Sedalia, was ordered to serve a 5 year sentence when his probation was revoked.  He was placed on probation July 15, 2013 after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine.  His probation was revoked because he committed the offense of shoplifting and he used drugs.  The defendant may be returned to probation if he successfully completes the 120 day treatment program in prison.
