According to a press release, Sedalia Police officers and detectives executed a Search Warrant at 316 E Cooper Street in Sedalia, in an attempt to locate a person with an active outstanding arrest warrant.

28-year old, Carlos E. Staten of Sedalia, had an outstanding $250,000 warrant for his involvement in the shooting that occurred at 620 S Washington Sedalia, on March 7.

Upon entering the home, officers were met by an aggressive animal at the door, that attempted to attack the officers. According to the press release, the officers attempted to make the animal retreat but after several attempts, the officers were forced to euthanize the animal.

Carlos Staten was taken into custody without incident for the outstanding warrant.

Carrie Galloway, who was also present during the execution of the warrant was arrested, as well, and is currently being held for 24 hours in the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of state charges for Hindering Prosecution and Possession of Drugs.
