Law Enforcement Surround Home At 15th And Marvin

Sedalia Police at Scene[/caption]Sedalia Police, Missouri State Highway Patrol have surrounded a home in the area of 15th and Marvin that is believed to be where James Horn Jr. may be at. The home has been surrounded since early this morning, when a Sedalia Police Officer located a car that met the description of one that was at the scene of the double-homicide in Clinton.

The vehicle was found at the Bothwell Regional Health Center Parking lot. The various law enforcement surrounded the home at 15th and Marvin.

There were reports of a single gunshot from witnesses, but that has not been commented on by law enforcement.

The Sedalia School District is in its last day of school and will be following through with the normal early out schedule. However according to Superintendent Brad Pollitt Parkview Elementary, Sedalia Middle School and Smith-Cotton Junior High Students who walk home from school will need to be picked up from school by a parent or authorized guardian, or they will require permission from an authorized parent or guardian to walk home today, due to law enforcement presence in the area. School officials or the students themselves will contact parents; if contacted by a student, the parent will be required to speak with a school official to grant permission to walk home.

There will not be buses going through the area of Bothwell Regional Health Center to drop off students that are effected. Only one bus route stops in that neighborhood and that bus will not run, unless the situation clears up.

Update: May 21, 2015 3:00 p.m. There are reports that several homes in that area are being looked at and searched. A robot was sent into the home to check the surroundings. There are reports of surveillance cameras seeing the vehicle parked and the suspect going into the direction of the home.

Update: 4:15 p.m The robot and SWAT team did not find Horn in the home.
