Lawrence W. Mundy, 66, of Sedalia died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born September 7, 1946, the son of Lewis and Imagine (Dawson) Mundy. Larry and Karen Lewis were married on June 6, 1978 and she survives of the home.

Larry was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S.Army. He was a Military Police and served in Germany during his tour. Larry also worked for the City of Sedalia for over 36 years He retired from the city as the Head Operator of the Waste Water Treatment Facility.

Larry was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was very respectful of those around him. He enjoyed fishing, working on old cars and gardening.

Larry is survived by his wife Karen; two sons, Norman Frederick and his fiancee, Jennifer Bourbon and Shane Mundy and his fiancee, Destiny Rose; his daughter, Amber Stevens and 4 grandchildren, Madison Stevens, Alexsis Mundy, Dylan Belcher and Makenna Fluegel.

Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Mundy.

Larry's family will recieve friends from 12:00 to 1:00PM on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Norman Frederick, Shane Mundy, Dylan Belcher, Mike Piers, Anthony Endlan and Phillip Yonce. Entombment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery's Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's honor to the Susan O'Brien Fischer Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
