Lengthy Pursuit Through Pettis County Leads to One Arrest

A man has been arrested on multiple charges following a "lengthy pursuit" on January 8 that ended with a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Route O and Ramey Road. According to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, the suspect, Carl Dean Cross, then fled on foot and allegedly stole another motor vehicle. Cross was later located and taken into custody by the Sedalia Police Department. Cross is being held on a 24-hour investigative hold pending a variety of charges, including:

Trafficking drugs, first degree
Resisting arrest
Driving while suspended
Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle
Possession of a stolen firearm
Stealing a motor vehicle
Property damage
Leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident
Two counts of unlawful use of a weapon
Two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm
