Liddie Mae Furnell, 87, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born March 15, 1928, in Sedalia, daughter of Christopher and Bessie Thornsberry Altis.

She was married to Joseph Franklin Furnell, who preceded her in death in July 1994.

Liddie enjoyed sewing and baking and worked as a bus driver. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in several positions.

She is survived by two sons, Cleo R. “Pete” Casdorph, of Sedalia, and Joseph M. Furnell (Teresa), of St. Croix, U.S.V.I.; five grandchildren, Christe Meyer (Billy), Jennifer Casdorph, Thomas Stroud (Jennifer), Josie Furnell, Misty Casdorph; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wright Altis.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Thursday, February 18, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Bishop Anthony Beard officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, at the funeral home.
