Lilah Harriett Taylor, 76, of Sedalia passed away June 13, 2015  at her home.  She was born on July 19, 1938 in Sedalia, MO, daughter of Herman and Alberta (Ferguson) President, Sr., who both preceded her in death.

On  May 13, 1978 in Sedalia, MO she was united in marriage to Raymond Taylor, who survives of the home.

Lilah enjoyed going to church and singing, crocheting, playing cards and games.  She was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church and Church Women United. She also was a member of The Order of  The Eastern Star Queen City Chapel #47 and Royal Lauretta Court #15 OOC.

Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, Joy D. Wolfe, of Alexandria VA, Sharon L. Lewis of Cedar Hill, TX (Jerell Daniels, special friend), David W. Herndon( Amanda) of Arlington Debbie Carter of Raytown, MO; two sisters, Gwendolyn Thompson (Joseph) of Port St. Lucie, FL and Kay Finley (Darwin) of Sedalia; two brothers, Herman President and Albert President, both of Sedalia; brother in-law, Edward Johnson of Waterloo, IA; niece, Deborah Fry of Sedalia; nine grandchildren, Romeka Taylor, Stephen Lewis, Brittany Johnson, Zachary, Akilah, Martel and Malik Herndon, Denotae and Janae Taylor; four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sally, Barbara, Carol Sue and Patty Jo.

Funeral service will be held at Taylor Chapel Church, Sedalia on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m with Calvin Pritchard, officiating.  Repass will follow the service at the Community Cafe on corner of Pettis and Moniteau.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Prior to visitation a ceremonial from Order of The Eastern Star #47 will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Honorary bearers will be Stephen Lewis, Christopher Finley, Zachary Herndon, Malik Herndon,  Marvin Spruell and Martel Herndon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society in care of the funeral chapel.
