Linda Lorraine Kocsis, 73, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

She was born November 3, 1941, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Colonel (Brig. Gen. Ret.) James Blue and Norma Jeanne (Kahrs) McFarland. On January 13, 1969, in Lewistown, Mt, she married Rainer M. “Ray” Kocsis, who survives of the home.

Linda was a 1959 graduate of Smith Cotton High School and attended Sedalia Business College. She worked at Bard Drug until her retirement. She was active in the Women of the Elks. She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and MU Tigers football.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother Bill McFarland (Dena), a sister Jo Ann Perusich (Dr. Michael), three children, Pamela Jeanne Vaught, James Kenneth Vaught (Lisa) and Christopher Andrew Kocsis, all of Sedalia; and three grandchildren Heather Weeks, Rachel Morris and Sydny Kocsis.

Memorial service will be 2 pm, Monday, August 17, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Visitation will be 1 pm until time of service.
