Street Crimes Unit was active on Thursday in Sedalia

According to information from Sedalia Police Chief John Degonia, and Sergeant Kelly Casto the “Street Crimes Unit” was active in Sedalia on Thursday. Between the hours of 9am and 9pm Thursday the unit reportedly initiated over 130 incident reports. The report states 12 of the incidents were traffic stops, 7 were subject checks, and 109 were warrant checks. The information also states there were 24 arrest, and of those 17 were warrant arrests, 4-were drug related arrests, 1 robbery 2nd degree, resisting arrest, and stealing related to a Walmart theft where the clerk was pushed as the suspect ran out the door. There was one attempted burglary call that resulted in arrest for possession of burglary tools, and one domestic violence arrest. Chief John DeGonia and Sergeant Casto praised the members of the unit saying they are proud of their professionalism, motivation, and attention to detail.
