  Sedalia Police Reports for Thursday, May 3rd, 2012:  

Sedalia Police did a routine traffic stop in the 900 Block of South Limit. The driver gave a false identity and then police found he had meth pipes in the backseat, an open baggie containing a powdery substance and scales. Scott Vansel was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, distribution, possession of paraphernalia, and a failure to appear, bond set at $15,000.

A man reported to Sedalia Police that a $250 lawn mower was stolen from his backyard in the 500 Block of West Morgan.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that on May 1st a cell phone valued at $200 was stolen in the 1200 Block of East 3rd.

Sedalia Police arrested Gary Rayburn for failure to appear on a Jackson County warrant. A city bond of $156.30 was set and a Jackson County bond of $10,000 was set.
