Marguerite R. Knox, of Sedalia, died in her sleep early on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Fair View Nursing Home. She was 95.

She was born January 26, 1917, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Leonard C. and Ruth E. (Cooper) Fullerton. On August 3, 1941, in Sedalia, she married Lloyd H. Knox who preceded her in death on October 12, 1989.

She was raised and educated in Sedalia, graduating from Smith-Cotton in 1934. Prior to her marriage, she worked at F.W. Woolworth in Sedalia. She lived in Sedalia nearly her whole life except for the years she lived in St. Louis during World War II while her husband served in the US Army. She was a homemaker.

She attended Epworth United Methodist Church as a child since its beginning in 1926 and was a lifelong member. She was a lifetime member of Bothwell Regional Health Center Auxiliary where she volunteered in the gift shop for many years. She was a member of the Helen G. Steele Music Club and past member of Church Women United and United Methodist Women.

She was a lifelong baseball fan and a 75 year fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and a fan of the Kansas City Royals since their inception.

She is survived by a son, Lloyd R. Knox, of Sedalia; a brother, Rick Fullerton (Betty), of Independence; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 2-5 pm, Friday, December 21, 2012 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be 1 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Crown Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Colflesh officiating. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Knox had lived at Fair View Nursing Home since June 17, 2008. During her time there, many employees worked hard to make her comfortable. For this, the family is most grateful.
