Marian Jean Scott age 87 formerly of Sedalia passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Lincoln Community Care Center.

She had lived at Brooking Park Village until recently going to Lincoln.

She was born on April 28, 1928 in Green Ridge daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Daisy Dexheimer Stephens. She was married on December 24, 1949 in Sedalia to Clyde Scott who preceded her in death on April 13, 1994.

Marian graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1946 and then from Central Business College in 1947.

She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching University of Missouri Basketball and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. She also enjoyed reading and was interested in the history of the Civil War. She loved her grand dogs Maggie Mae and Finnigan.

She is survived by one daughter; Jo Ann Greer of Sedalia, two sons; Robert Scott of Sedalia, Steve Scott of Smithton, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded by two sisters; Helen Short and Dorothy Hudec, two brothers; Harold Stephens and Clayton Stephens. Funeral services will be at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Marlin Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Stephens, Conrad Stephens and Shirley Ann Dowd. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
