Marshall Dickerson, 93, of Sedalia passed away May 22, 2015 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, MO.  He was born on June 28, 1921 in Blue Lick, MO a son of Jacob Dickerson and Ollie Trent, who both preceded him in death.

Marshall loved to garden, play his harmonica, and sing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and eating out.

Marshall served honorably in the Army Air Corps during Word War II. He served 15 months in the European Theater. During the war, he was privileged to serve as a radio mechanic and worked on the famed B-24 bomber. After the war, Marshall served as a carpenter with the Civil Service at Whiteman AFB.

Mr. Dickerson is survived by his niece, Sharon Adcock and his extended family: Elsie, Eric, Stephanie and Kadence Janney; Dennis, Neala and Adam VanBaale.

In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Dickerson, Kenneth Dickerson and Maurine Sidwell; and his nephew Brian Sidwell.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 30th at Houstonia Cemetery, Houstonia, MO.  Rev. Dan Hankins will officiate graveside service.

Full military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 2591 at the graveside.

Memorial contributions are suggested to VFW Post 2591 or the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
