McFatrich was a two-year varsity starter and letterman for the Tigers. He scored two goals and had one assist from his position on the back line.  He was voted to the All-West Central Conference and All-District teams in 2017, helping the Tigers secure conference and district titles.

“Tanner is a true team player,” said S-C boys soccer Head Coach Ethan Weller. “This season he had his hopes set on playing our holding midfield spot, but the coaches felt we were a better team with him at one of our central defender spots. Tanner never complained and played the position with full commitment to team success."
