At 3:25 Thursday afternoon (Nov. 21), the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reported a fatality accident that occurred on Missouri Highway 52 East of Pleasant View Road in Pettis County.

The accident reportedly occured as the 1997 Dodge Intrepid driven by 24-year-old Brandon Kennedy of East Tawas, Mich., passed a 2010 Ford on a hill crest and struck a 2012 Cadillac driven by 79-year-old Wayne Greenough of Windsor head-on. The two vehicles then rotated in the roadway, striking two other vehicles on the roadway.

Kennedy suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at 9:02 at Research Hospital. Greenough and his passenger, 74-year-old Marilyn Greenough of Windsor, received serious injuries and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment. There were no injuries reported in the other two vehicles in the accident.
