This weekend is Labor Day! I think a lot of us are just plain old excited about getting a little time off at the end of the summer to spend with friends and family. It's just part of our American way of life, isn't it? We all love certain iconic parts of our history, and the rebel on the motorcycle has been a long time favorite. The Mid-Missouri Motorcycle Rally this weekend is definitely something to check out!

They're making a whole weekend of it. It's something that I've noticed about a lot of passionate bikers: they go big, or they go home. Beginning on Friday at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, they're definitely going big. It's a lot of camping, a lot of mutual admiration of beautiful machines and lots of adrenaline pumping sport action.

Here in Sedalia this Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, the good times start at the Missouri State Fairgrounds. They'll have a Motorcycle Rodeo on Saturday, and Motorcycle and ATV Drags on Sunday. It's not just about races, though. They'll have two live bands every evening, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Family camping areas are also available, and if there's anything that makes an event more delightful, it's the kids. But for those of you who need to let you hair down a little, or if you're just on your own, there's a separate adult camping only area.

Entry Fees for the event are very affordable. The weekend pass, which includes all events and tent camping, is $30 for MRO Members, $35 for Non-MRO. Day passes are also available for $10 per day for all events (no camping). RV Camping, electric/water is also available for $15.00 per day. You can also win day passes to the rally here!

Now they do want to have fun, and that means they keep an eye on safety, too. So no firearms, ATV Riding in the campground, golf carts, glass bottles, animals, open fires or ground fires. BBQ Grills are permitted, so go ahead and roast 'em up. Our very own Huntin' and Fishin' with Harry will be out there on Saturday AND Sunday, with tons of more fun things and a great live broadcast from the event.

Bikerly yours,
