Rumors have been swirling about what the next step is for the Mid-Missouri Outlaws after going 0-12 in their debut season in the CPIFL.  According to multiple Outlaws players, the team will not be competing in the CPIFL next year.  Instead, they will return to the Central Plains Football League, an outdoor league the Outlaws debuted in back in 2007.

The Central Plains Football League (CPFL) was formed January 2006. The CPFL started with four teams: Missouri Mustangs, Mid-Missouri Outlaws, Topeka Tornadoes and the KC Ravens. The Outlaws won the first three championships in the CPFL and began playing indoor football after that.

Outlaws players told us that the team had a meeting on Monday, June 10, after the last game of the season, and that is when the announcement was made. We will keep you informed on any more information we receive.

We wish all the players, coaching staff, and ownership the best of luck moving forward.
