In years past, the annual Firefighters Memorial Motorcycle Ride has been something our town has looked forward to. This year, the ride was expanded to include a whole day's worth of events that took place all over downtown Sedalia. It was a hot day, but that didn't stop the folks from having a great time.  There were all sorts of people enjoying the bounce houses, dog demonstrations, the music and the food.  There were also plenty of different ways for the kids and the adults to get a little education about our heroes in emergency services and all they do.  I got to go to this big event and I made sure to take tons of pictures!

There was so much to do that you'd be forgiven for thinking it was all nothing but fun - but that fun also brought a lot of vital information to folks who might not have had it. We learned about the Sherriff's Department and their radio unit, about the new firetruck the Fire Department uses, the Jaws of Life from the Pettis County Fire Department, and about the importance of buckling your seat belt.
