Mildred Rehak, 99, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

She was born November 18, 1915, in Cole Camp, a daughter of the late Wenzel and Anna (Straka) Brosch. On October 1, 1946, in Sedalia, she was married to Leonard C. Rehak who preceded her in death on March 26, 2004.

Mrs. Rehak retired as a machine operator at J.A. Lamy Manufacturing. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a 50-year member of National Association of Letters Carrier (NALC) Auxiliary 106 and was a long-time member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARF). She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing homemade desserts, candies and cookies with family and friends. She loved to go shopping, travel, dine out and garden.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Loretta Kendrick, Edna Klein, Arlene Silvey and Larry Grinstead, all of Sedalia, and Everett Koechner, of Blue Springs.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Anna Dunn, Margaret Brosch, Theresa Kuttenkuler, Mary Klein, Ida Wiemholt and Agnes Koechner; and five brothers, John Brosch, Frank Brosch, Lawrence Brosch, George Brosch and Norbert Brosch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Friday, January 2, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church with Father Mark Miller officiating. Prayers of the rosary will begin at 9 am at the church with visitation to follow until service time. Pallbearers will be Randy Silvey, Everett Koechner, Ronnie Koechner, Larry Grinstead, Jon Grinstead and Richard Moore. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
