A West Plains, Missouri man was killed on November 29 after his vehicle struck a deer, and the deer came through the windshield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday on Route E in Howell County. After colliding with the deer, 30-year-old Gregory L. Spoor's 1994 Chevrolet 3500 traveled off the roadway, struck an embankment and then a tree. Spoor was pronounced dead by the Howell County Coroner.

Spoor was taken to Robertson Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. The vehicle was towed from the scene. According to the Highway Patrol's online crash report, Spoor was not wearing a safety device.
