The first concert announcements for the 2016 Missouri State Fair have been made! Chris Janson and LoCash are among the country artists set to appear this summer in Sedalia!

According to a press release from the Missouri State Fair, Chris Janson with LoCash will perform on Tuesday, August 16, and Christian Rock groups Newsboys with Hawk Nelson will perform on Thursday, August 18 as part of the Pepsi Grandstand concert series. Tickets go on sale June 21.

“The announcement of these first two concerts is just the start of a diverse mix of great entertainment that we have in store for concertgoers this year at the Fair,” said director Mark Wolfe. “I am excited at how the lineup is shaping up. We will be announcing more shows soon.”

Perryville, Mo., native Chris Janson burst onto the scene last year with his breakthrough No. 1 platinum-certified single “Buy Me A Boat.” Janson received three ACM Award nominations, New Male Vocalist of the Year and Single Record of the Year, and is up for Country Song of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. LOCASH, hit-making country music duo made up of Baltimore, Md., native Chris Lucas and Indianapolis, Ind., Preston Brust, are signed to REVIVER RECORDS and coming off of the chart-topping single “I Love This Life.” They’ll be bringing their new single “I Know Somebody” and new music from their current E.P. The Missouri State Fair is August 11-August 21. This year will mark the 114th Missouri State Fair. The fair will have the theme "See What Crops Up."
