Day eight of the Missouri State Fair is here!  It is Thrifty Thursday, where you can get admission for $4 for adults and kids ages 6-12 are just $1.  The Missouri State Fair will also officially recognize the Missouri State Fair Volunteer Fire Department's 50 years of service.  Missouri firefighters, EMTs and paramedics will get free admission with appropriate I.D.  It is also Governor's, Legislator's, and Judge's Day with the Governor's Ham Breakfast at the Director's tent at 8 a.m.

The Pepsi Grandstand will feature country acts Jake Owen and Colt Ford at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, $30, $35, and $40.  Get your tickets at the Pepsi Grandstand Box Office.

The State Fair Arena will have a Garden & Mini Rod Pull at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and the Missouri Stock Antique-Class Tractor Pullers Association will go at 1 p.m.  All the events at the State Fair Arena are free!

You will want to get on the Fairgrounds at 1 p.m. to see the Firefighter Parade, which will feature the World-Renowned Budweiser Clydesdales.

The Bud Tent will feature the band Parmalee at 2 & 6 p.m. and Day 2 of the Missouri State Fair Idol Semifinal rounds at 4 p.m.  Mad Hoss Jackson will play at 9 p.m.

The Kids Stage will feaure an Emergency Sponge Response Team contest at 2 p.m. and the Touchstone Energy Stage will have a shot glass relay race at 6 p.m.
