Missouri State Fair Highlights for Thursday, August 9
The 110th Missouri State Fair is officially here. Each day there are different activities planned through the day and we hope you enjoy some of the activities. As of right now, the Pepsi Grandstand shows have not sold out, so you can get tickets at the Pepsi Grandstand Box Office during the course of the Missouri State Fair.
Day one begins with a bang as it is Two Bonanza Day, sponsored by US Bank. All through the day, the price of admission is just $2 for those six and over. Kids five and younger are free everyday! As you come through the gates, be sure to pick up an information packet that will tell you where $2 specials are throughout the Fair.
The Opening Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in front of the State Fair Firehouse. This firehouse is the only all volunteer force in Missouri that is open for just two weeks out of the year. This year they are celebrating their 50th anniversary on the Missouri State Fairgrounds and will be recognized for that.
Some of the other highlights include the Farm Toy Show in Assembly Hall from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m. Be sure to see what new items the vendors have brought throughout the Fair.
