17-year-old Windsor girl hurt in a Pettis County crash Tuesday

At 6:43pm Tuesday evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one vehicle accident on Missouri 127 at Hinken Road in Pettis County. According to the accident report the driver of a 2004 Hyundai, 17-year-old Shelbi-Kai M. Hilburn of Windsor failed to negotiate a curve causing the Hyundai to slide off the roadwaty where it struck a ditch and overturn. Hilburn was not wearing a seat belt, and suffered moderate injuries in the crash. She was taken to University Hospital by Pettis County EMS for treatment. The Hyundai was reportedly a total loss.

Two-Gillam residents injured Wednesday afternoon in a Saline County Accident

Around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 240 at Primrose Ave in Saline County. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2003 GMC Acadia driven by 53-year-old Debora K. Johnson of Gillam travelled off the roadway, struck a utility pole wire, and began to roll, and then struck a barbed wire fence before coming to rest on its top. Johnson and her passenger Robert L. Hall of Gillam were not wearing seat belts, and sustained minor injuries. Both victims were taken to Fitzgibbon Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment.
