Two Sedalia men injured in a one-vehicle accident in Pettis County

At 7:35 Monday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on East 28th Street East of Marshall Avenue in Pettis County. According to the report, the accident occurred as the driver of a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice, 22-year-old Jesse Skaggs of Sedalia, lost control of his vehicle, which ran off the roadway and overturned coming to rest on its wheels. The accident report states Skaggs received moderate injuries and was taken to St. Luke's on the Plaza by Air Ambulance, while a passenger, 27-year-old Joshua Skaggs also of Sedalia, was taken to Bothwell Regional Me3dical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Neither man was wearing a seatbelt according to the report, and charges are pending.

 

31-year-old Sedalia woman injured Saturday afternoon in a Pettis County accident

Around 5:30 Saturday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated an accident that happened on Route "U" South of Anderson School Road in Pettis County. The accident report states the accident occurred when the 1998 Dodge Ram driven by 31-year-old Sara Nelson of Sedalia ran off the roadway and overturned. Nelson was wearing her seatbelt, and suffered only minor injuries. She was taken to Bothwell regional Health Center by private vehicle for treatment.

 

Lawson motorcycle rider injured when he rear-ended a vehicle in Benton County

At 12:19 Tuesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Benton County Sheriff's Department reported a two-vehicle accident on US 65 Highway and Route "AC" in Benton County. The accident reportedly occurred as a 1998 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 49-year old Bradley Taylor of Lawson, Missouri rear-ended the 2002 Chevrolet driven by 54-year-old Alfred Powers of Hughesville as it made a turn. The motorcycle skidded and overturned before striking the Powers vehicle, causing minor injuries to Taylor, who was taken to Bothwell Hospital for treatment.
