Motorcycle accident results in serious injury for Windsor man

At 2:00 Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Route “Y” just South of County Road Northeast 900 in Henry County. The accident happened as the rider of a 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, 32-year-old Eric Evans of Windsor, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. The accident report states that Evans jumped from the motorcycle before it ran off the roadway and received serious injuries. He was transported by Staff of Life to University Hospital for treatment. An investigation of the accident is reportedly ongoing.

Slater man receives moderate injuries in a Saline County accident

Around 5:30 Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident that occurred on Missouri 41 one mile North of Hardamin in Saline County. The accident reportedly happened as the 2008 Dodge Dakota driven by 54-year-old Frank Hamblen of Slater ran off the roadway, striking a culvert and a utility pole before striking a ditch. Hamblen was Lifelighted to University Hospital in Columbia by Staff of Life for what was described as moderate injuries.

 30-year-old male injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning 

At 1:00 Tuesday morning, a Blue Springs man identified as 30-year-old Nicholas Odell was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Route “00” just North of Route “HH” in Lafayette County. The accident occurred as the 2002 GMC driven Odell traveled off the roadway and impacted a sign and a culvert before coming to rest on the driver's side. Odell received moderate injuries in the accident but decided to seek his own treatment.

Montrose man injured in a rollover accident Wednesday evening

Around 6:00 Wednesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 52 North of Southwest 1100 Road in Henry County. The accident happened as the 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by 58-year-old Ronald Rotert of Montrose traveled off the roadway, where it struck a ditch and overturned. Rotert suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Ellet Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment.
