Fatality accident reported in Lafayette County Monday night

At 10:35 Monday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident involving a pedestrian on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 50.4 in Lafayette County. The accident occurred after 25-year-old John E. Brown of St.Louis was walking in the right lane of traffic, when he was struck by a 2011 Dodge Ram driven by 38-year-old Joshua Jean of Philpot, Ky. Brown was pronounced deceased by the Lafayette County Coroner and was taken to the Lafayette Regional Morgue by Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home.

Moderate injuries suffered by a 38-year-old Female in a Lafayette County accident

Around 11:15 Sunday night, a Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper reported a one-vehicle accident at mile marker 51 on Westbound I-70 in Lafayette County. The accident happened as the driver of a 1998 Ford Tisha Clark of Independence, Mo. lost control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway, causing the vehicle to travel off the roadway. The vehicle then impacted a ditch and overturned. Clark suffered moderate injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.

Accident in Lafayette County Sunday night injures a Higginsville woman

At 9:40 Sunday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri 13 North of Business 13 in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly occurred as the driver of a 1998 Ford, 39-year-old Angela Howell of Higginsville, traveled into the path of a 2008 Suzuki driven by 52-year-old Kim McCoy of Higgins ville after losing control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway. Howell, who was wearing her seat belt, received minor injuries and was taken to Lafayette Regional by EMS for treatment.

Icy road sighted as cause in a one-vehicle accident in Benton County Sunday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident at 10:22 Sunday night. The accident reportedly happened on Route “MM” just East of Steed Lane in Benton County, when the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, 22-year-old Andrea Johnson of Warsaw, lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway, then traveled off the roadway and into a fence. Johnson received minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
