57-year-old Ionia man injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning

Around 7:40 Sunday morning the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident, that occurred on Route “E” just South of Morgan Road in Pettis County. According to the report the accident occurred as the driver of a 2000 Cadillac driven by 57-year-old Dean L. Rupe of Ionia travelled off the roadway, struck a mailbox, and then continued down a ditch where it struck an embankment, and a culvert. The report states the vehicle struck two fences, then overturned in a field. Rupe was not wearing his seatbelt, and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence Missouri by Staff for Life for treatment.

Sedalia boy injured Saturday night in a vehicle accident in Pettis County

Just after 8:30 Saturday night the Missouri State Highway patrol reported an injury accident on Prairie Road North of Arnett Road in Pettis County. The accident report states the accident happened as the passenger in the bed of a 1997 Ford F150 driven by 16-year-old Baxter Mays of Sedalia, jumped while the pickup was in motion in an attempt to sit on the tailgate. 15-year-old Zachery Morrison of Sedalia missed the tailgate, and fell to the ground, suffering moderate injuries. Morrison was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Warsaw woman rear ends a truck on South 65 Highway in Pettis County Monday night

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2-vehicle accident on Southbound 65 Highway just South of Flatcreek Bridge. The accident reportedly occurred as the 1996 Honda driven by 36-year-old Monica Fox of Warsaw overtook, and rear ended a 2001 Mack Truck driven by 43-year-old David Newland of Green Ridge. The Fox vehicle then ran off the roadway before coming to rest. Fox received moderate injuries in the crash, and was transported to Bothwell Hospital by Pettis County Ambulance for treatment.

Benton County accident injures a 17-year-old Sedalia teen Saturday afternoon

At 12:55 Saturday afternoon an accident on Route “U” a mile South of Route “JJ” in Benton County injured a 17-year-old Sedalia teenager. According to the Missouri State Highway patrol report the accident occurred as the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 17-year-old Tristan Sprinkle of Sedalia failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to skid out of control, and travel off the roadway. The vehicle then impacted an embankment, and overturned before coming to rest. Sprinkle was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by ambulance for treatment of moderate injuries.
