Sedalia man sustains serious injuries in a rollover accident Thursday

At 8:20 pm Thursday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one vehicle injury accident on Missouri Highway 52 West of Richardson Road in Pettis County. According to the report the accident occurred as the 1999 Ford Mustang driven by 26-year-old Zachary E. Smasal of Sedalia travelled off the roadway and struck a culvert, and then overturned, coming to rest on its top. Smasal was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to University Hospital by EMS for treatment.

49-year-old Johnson County man injured in a one vehicle accident Thursday night

Just before 8pm on Thursday the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle accident on Route “W” South of Highway 50 in Johnson County. The accident reportedly happened as the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 49-year-old Jason T. Jennings of Oak Grove failed to negotiate a curve, and ran off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a fence and a tree before coming to rest. Jennings was not wearing a seatbelt, and received moderate injuries. He was taken to Research Medical Center for treatment.
