Warrensburg teen injured in a Johnson County accident Wednesday afternoon

At 7:50 a.m. Wednesday afternoon, a 2008 Ford F-350 driven by 56-year-old Scott F. Simmons of Centerview was attempting to make a turn and  was struck by the towed unit of a 2002 Ford Escort driven by 18-year-old Dylan T. McKenzie of Warrensburg. McKenzie was injured in the crash, and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment of what were described as moderate injuries.

18-Year-Old Smith-Cotton Student Killed in Morgan County Accident

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol around 6:15 a.m. Thursday morning, 18-year-old Alexander M. Carr of Sedalia was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident on US Highway-50 on the Lamine River Bridge in Morgan County. According to the report, a 2002 Dodge Dakota driven by Carr was travelling eastbound, and a 2014 Mack Truck driven by 40-year-old Joseph E Wells of Green Ridge was travelling westbound. The report states the Carr vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the Wells vehicle head-on. At 7:35 a.m. Alexander M. Carr was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was transported to Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton. Wells suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Carr was a senior at Smith Cotton High School.

 

Henry County accident seriously injures a Deepwater woman Wednesday

Just after 12 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway-13 at Deepwater Arm in Henry county. The accident reportedly occurred as a 2008 Chevrolet driven by 27-year-old Brandi L. McClure of Montrose overtook a 1987 Chevrolet driven by 67-year-old William P. Kelly of Deepwater. A passenger in the Kelly vehicle, 49-year-old Kim D. Hamby of Deepwater, suffered serious injuries in the crash, and was taken to Research Medical by Lifeflight for treatment. Both vehicles were reportedly totaled, and were towed from the scene.
