Benton County accident injures an 86-year-old Cole Camp man

Just after 1pm Monday afternoon, the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Highway U and Mora Road in Benton County. The crash occurred, according to the report, as the 1978 Ford F-150 driven by 16-year-old Blake A. Kreisel of Cole Camp was stopped at a stop sign on Mora Road, and then made a left hand turn into the path of a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 86-year-old Joseph F. Kabler, also of Cole Camp. Kabler received moderate injuries, and was transported by Colecamp EMS to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The accident report also states neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.

Concordia woman injured in a Johnson County wreck Sunday morning

At 10:40am Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a Concordia woman, identified as 37-year-old Kimberly A. Kesten, lost control of the 2006 Ford she was driving on ice covered Route CC West of Missouri Highway 23 in Johnson County, and traveled off the roadway. The accident report states the Kesten vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned. Kesten received moderate injuries in the crash, and was transported to I-70 Medical Center by Concordia EMS for treatment. The vehicle was totaled and was towed from the scene.

Warrensburg Teen Dies in a Johnson County Accident Monday Afternoon

At 3:35 Monday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident on US-50 Highway West of Highway FF in Johnson County. According to the report, the accident occurred as 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by 17-year-old Zachary A. Parsons of Warrensburg traveled off the roadway, struck a culvert, became airborne, and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side. Parsons was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner at 4:16 pm. The victim was taken to Sweeney Phillips Funeral Home by the coroner.
