Independence man injured in a Saline County Accident Tuesday night

At 8:20 Tuesday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Westbound I-70 at mile marker 68.4. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by Raymond Sidelinker struck the rear of a vehicle, travelled off the roadway, and down embankment. Sidelinker suffered moderate injuries in the crash, and was transported to I-70 Community Hospital by Sweet Springs Ambulance. The accident report states the struck vehicle continued Westbound, and is listed as unknown in the report.

32-year-old Forsyth woman injured in a Johnson County accident Tuesday morning

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report around 11:45 Tuesday afternoon the driver of a 2012 Toyota Prius, 32-year-old Kerri L Whillock of Forsyth was injured in a one vehicle accident. The report states the accident happened when Whillock failed to slow for the roundabout located at Missouri Highway 13 and US Highway 50 in Johnson County. The Prius struck the concrete curbing of the roundabout causing moderate damage to the vehicle. Whillock was taken to Bothwell Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of moderate injuries.
