A January 1 accident around 7:48 a.m. on McVey Rd. sent a Sedalia man to the hospital. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Jeffery Inlow was driving a 2005 International eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a mailbox and came to rest in a ditch. Inlow was taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries.


A Versailles man was seriously injured on January 1 in Morgan County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Christian Whittle lost control of a 2003 Chevrolet 1500 on Old Highway 5 around 3:25 a.m. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned. Whittle was taken to Lake Regional Hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries. The Chevrolet was totaled in the accident.
