Two people injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday night

At 7:35 Thursday night the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Missouri Highway 13, just North of the Johnson County Line in Lafayette County. The crash reportedly occurred as the 2003 Toyota Matrix driven by 34-year-old Ryan M. Wolfe of Montgomery Illinois ran off the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned. Wolfe and a passenger 32-year-old Lacy J. Martinez of Clinton received serious injuries in the accident, and were both transported to Centerpoint Medical Center by Life Flight for treatment.

Two-vehicle accident this (Friday) morning injures four local people

Just before 8:30 this (Friday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on US-50 Highway a half mile west of Missouri Highway 23 in Johnson County. The accident report states the accident happened as the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 19-year-old Cheyenne L. Reed of Sedalia, and the 2011 Ford Escape driven by 24-year-old Sheldon A Pittman of Knob Noster were both travelling Westbound on 50-Highway, when a third vehicle made an improper lane change causing the Reed vehicle to travel off the roadway into the median. Reed then lost control of the vehicle, and it returned to the roadway, and struck the Pittman vehicle before both vehicles came to rest blocking the right lane of 50-Highway.  Reed and Pittman both suffered moderate injuries in the crash, while passengers in the reed vehicle identified as 3-year-old Noah Updyke of Knob Noster, and 19-year-old Averi N. Wilken of Sedalia suffered minor injuries. Reed, and Wilken were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment, and Pittman, and Updyke were transported to Centerpoint Hospital for treatment.
