A 33-year-old man accused of felony driving while intoxicated, fleeing from police, and various traffic offenses was arrested on July 4, following the wreck of a 1997 Accura. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the vehicle went off the roadway around 9 p.m. in Saline County, struck trees and overturned. The driver, Jeremiah J. Thomas, was treated for minor injuries and Fitzgibbon Hospital, and was then taken to the Saline County Jail, where he is being held with no bond.


A Warrensburg man was seriously injured, and a Blue Springs resident suffered minor injuries, in a July 4 accident on MO 13 in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2018 Harley Davidson and a 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe collided around 12:45 p.m. The driver of the Harley, 29-year-old Jeffery Porter of Warresnburg, was ejected from the bike, and was transported by Life Flight to Research Medical Center for treatment.


A Clinton woman was one of three people injured after a 2015 Toyota Camry overturned three times after running off the roadway on I-70 in Callaway County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Aimee Shulse of Clinton was transported by Callaway EMS to University Hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries following the accident around 2:45 p.m. on July 4. Two passengers from St. Louis also suffered minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the Camry was not injured.
