Benton County accident injures four victims Thursday afternoon

At 2:18 Thursday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on Missouri Highway “7” South of Route “DD” in Benton County. The accident reportedly occurred as the 2002 Dodge driven by 16-year-old Jacklynn Bellamy of Edwards was making a left turn into a private driveway, and was struck on the passenger’s side by a 2003 Saturn driven by 25-year-old Ashley Ward of Columbia. Bellamy and two of her passengers were injured in the crash and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital by Warsaw Lincoln EMS for treatment. 8-year-old William Austin and 12-year-old Skylar Austin both of Edwards suffered moderate injuries, while Bellamy received minor injuries in the crash.  Ward was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by St. Johns EMS for treatment of minor injuries.

Rollover accident in Pettis County injures a Marshall man

Just after 4pm Thursday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office reported a rollover accident on Southbound 65-Highway just North of Bothwell Park Road in Pettis County. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2002 Hyundai driven by 23-year-old Dantea Morrow of Marshall travelled off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. The accident report states the vehicle also became fully engulfed in flames. Morrow received minor injuries in the accident, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment.
